Our 2021 Expo has the option to watch all educational sessions remotely!


For attendees who are not able to attend in-person, they may register for remote access to all of the eductional sessions we will be providing at our 2021 Symposium and Expo.


Remote attendees can watch the sessions, complete the required questions, and receive all continuing education credits that are offered (5 hours!)


Remote registrants will have access to the recorded videos for 30 days after they are received following the Expo.

Remote attendees will have access to recorded videos of each of the sessions listed below. Each session will be worth 1 hour of continuing education credit. 

  

Morning Sessions


Lessons Learned: Impact of Technology to Enhance Governance, Operation, and Administration in Association

Speakers:  Matt Mericle and Lucia Trigani


This session will focus on:

• Technologies available to improve processes within an association

• How to leverage software from management companies

• Regulations on virtual meetings and voting

• Keeping your documents and information secure



Lessons Learned: Effective In-person and Remote Communication within an Association

Speakers: Susan Blackburn and Tom Xenakis


This session will focus on:

• Delivering difficult messages (Crucial Conversations)

• Setting expectations within associations

• Difference of in-person vs. electronic messaging

• Types of meetings (virtual townhalls)



LAC Update

A representative from the Maryland Legislative Action Committee and an expert in Delaware law will discuss what legislation might be targeting in 2022.

Afternoon Sessions


Lessons Learned from 2020

Speakers: Vicki Eaton, Ruth Katz, Sami Satouri


This session will review changes in contract parameters and insurance policies including the use of covering contracts and changes to documents, amendments and resolutions. The panel will also review the use of waivers and use the example of pool access to review these changes.



Lessons learned: Dealing with Constraints that are Impacting Association Services

Speakers: Gary Saylor and Rebecca Clemson-Petrik


This session will review lessons learned from staffing redirected of business partners, managers, and association employees. Best practices for changing operations from both the Manager and homeowner perspective, and how to prepare for possible future disruptions.

A representative from the Maryland Legislative Action Committee and an expert in Delaware law will discuss what legislation might be targeting in 2022.
